When looking to explore beyond the bounds of their environment students don’t have to travel far to get the thrill of a new adventure;just stop by room 207!
International club, moderated by Mr. Paprocki, meets monthly to engage in conversation and presentation about different countries and cultures. Some main factors of the club is that students get to try different foods from around the world and meet people with like-minded interests for traveling.
“At our last meeting, we covered some of the countries in Europe like Iceland and Switzerland,” shares senior co-president Palyn O’Saithai. “We talk about each country’s culture and after that we have an activity and hangout.”
In regards to upcoming plans for the club, senior co-president Maggie Mrema shares that members will start working to decorate the school in celebration for Chinese new year.
Significant details about the benefits of the club: reflecting back on how students get to expand their knowledge on the world, etc.
The ultimate goal of the club is “to learn about different cultures that exist within our school community. I know that each of our club members has the opportunity to learn about cultures throughout the world, and it’s wonderful hearing personal stories from those who come from these specific countries that we discuss” says Mr. Paprocki
So students should come to room 207 and explore for themselves!
