In recent news last month, the Federal Reserve reduced interest rates by 50 basis points. Srudents wondering what this means and how it will impact the stock market should join Investment Club.
In Investment Club, members learn about any events that have a heavy impact on the financial markets. During meetings, members discuss these topics and educate themselves further. Everyone can and needs to learn how to budget and build their wealth. In Investment Club members will learn the basics of the stock market, personal finance and investing strategies. If you consider yourself to be a competitive spirit, you will be happy to learn that there is a competition in Investment Club. The competition is done on a website where you can practice investing with fake money. This progress is tracked, and the person with the highest return on their investment at the end of the year will receive a prize. Investment Club also provides an opportunity to get educated on valuable life skills.
“The best part about Investment Club is learning about financial markets and using that knowledge to build long-term financial success,” said club member Daniel Chacia ‘26.
Daniel believes that there are many reasons students should join this club.
He says, “People should join Investment Club to expand their knowledge about the stock market and use what they learn to make informed investment decisions to grow their wealth.”
All of the things that Investment club teaches are valuable life skills that you can bring into the future.
“Skills I hope to bring into the future are patience, strong research abilities, and teamwork,” he said.
If any student is looking for a way to get a head start on their investing goals, joining Investment Club is a great first step. As rapper Lil Uzi said, “In reality I’m 5’4, but standing on my money I’m 6’6”. If anyone wants to be 6’6” standing on their money, the first step is to join Investment club.
