Tinley Park Amphitheater has had many famous musicians perform for their eager fans, from NLE Choppa to Big Time Rush. However, no one could prepare the staff for the massive turnout of the icon Pitbull.
His tour, Party After Dark, began on August 21st and will continue until October 5th. Starting in Virginia, Pitbull went to Tinley Park, where many students from Saint Viator were among the attendees.
“It was a spiritual experience,” says junior Hailey Ferrera, “I can’t wait til next time!”
The concert opened with another famous icon, Faheem Rashad Najm, also known as T-Pain. He started the night with his biggest hits, including “All I Do Is Win” and “Kiss Kiss,” to excite the crowd for the main event.
The main event, Armando Christian Pérez, otherwise known by his stage name Pitbull, is a singer and businessman. Pitbull started his life in Miami, Florida, with immigrant parents from Cuba. He faced his share of challenges growing up, but this adversity created his ultimate goal: to make a name for himself. He went to school but excelled more in his musical talents, so he followed this passion. This led him to become one of the most famous artists in the world.
Though many people only aim to become famous and rich, that’s different from what Pitbull is doing. At his concert, Pitbull declared that much of the money raised at his concerts was going back to his former high school. This high school has many kids like him who are going through significant challenges, and the money will help their futures. The discussion was sincere. This is one reason why people highly popularize Pitbull.
“I love Pitbull concerts because while his music is very upbeat, it is also inspiring because of his story,” Junior Isabella DiMarco states after attending the concert at Tinley Park.
While listening to your favorite artist is fun and fabulous, seeing them using their profits to help others is even better. The Pitbull concert was a fan favorite, and everyone hopes to see him “partying after dark’ again.
