Disney goes downhill

Jimmy Neutron, Johnny Bravo, Dave the Barbarian–if it ain’t broke why fix it? These were the characters that made Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel the best channels to get up in the morning for. These days, the channels are going downhill due to all the new and ridiculously stupid shows they are presenting to younger audiences.

First off, Nickelodeon was a channel that the whole family could enjoy. The only show keeping the channel alive is “SpongeBob Squarepants,” and even that’s starting to go down hill with its new episodes. TeenNick does reruns of the past shows such as “Drake & Josh,” “Kenan & Kel,” “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius,” “Hey Arnold!,” and my personal favorite, “Catdog”. I believe Teennick has a better chance of survival than Nickelodeon since the past shows were so much better than what is being shown today.

Between Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, I would rather save Nickelodeon. Cartoon Network is now one of the most ridiculously annoying channels on TV right now. They brought back past shows such as “Ben 10,”  “Teen Titans” and “Power Puff Girls,” and ruined them.  Cartoon Network had really funny and creative shows like “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends,” “Johnny Bravo,” “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “Scooby-Doo.” The best thing about the channel was their Christmas specials, but even that was ruined, since they no longer show original specials.

Disney Channel has definitely gone downhill. Disney Channel was a family favorite in the past, but today, it’s a family’s worst nightmare. The past shows were very entertaining, like “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “Brandy & Mr. Whiskers” and “Dave the Barbarian.” Disney took “Star Wars” and “Marvel” and they ruined it by making these bad excuses for cartoons. My opinion is, the only way to keep this channel alive is by showing re-runs of the past shows.

It’s a shame that children today will never get a chance to see these shows and that they’re stuck with the garbage shown today.
