Caught in between bridal gowns and showgirl sequined dresses, the life of Taylor Swift has become a multiverse of milestones personal and professional merging for the world to witness the spectacle that is the singer’s life. A well documented journey that has burgeoned since the beginning of her career with the release of her first single “Tim McGraw” in 2006 and sprawling out from the country genre to pop elite darling status throughout her nineteen career tenure.
From her participation and marketing move interview on the podcast “New Heights” hosted by her then boyfriend, soon to be fiance Travis Kelce and her brother Jason Kelce, advertising the upcoming countdown of the musician’s twelve album titled “The Life Of A Showgirl” on August twelve at 12:12 am. To a surprise (at least for the public eye) August coded engagement jointed announcement between de pop artist and her Kansas City Chiefs tight end player, on the twenty six of the month with a simply well-crafted statement that looks like an excerpt from one of Taylor’s top charting anthems: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” the eight month of the year and the eight of the northern summer was of course the chosen timeline interval to spam her always supporting fans with the major and well received news.
The unleashed countdown back to back of the performers’ multiverse of life eras has been the epicenter of social media platforms talking points. Congratulations had been poured from all over the world for the musician and her three time Super Bowl champion- betrothed Kelce, on their engagement displayed, which came after two years of dating on the public eye, while the singer was globetrotting on her record-breaking Eras Tour which her then football player, new boyfriend attended as much as his career commitments allowed.
People love a good love story with a fairytale ending and more so if it is part of the collective desire of a fierce fandom that wants to see its pop princess heroine have the romantic tale ending that matches some of her beloved lyrics.
Once the dust of the Kelce-Swift wedding bells settle the alarms of the artist’s music release continue to ring from all the corners of the planet.
The announcement of the release of the next chapter on Taylor’s voyage as the artist has been subject to mixed reviews and emotions from well intentioned critics to neutral music publication experts to naysayers and beyond.
On one hand Swifties, the performer worldwide passionate and highly active fandom, as always have shown their unwavering support. A novel body of work brings something new to look forward to for Taylor’s fans. Setting their own internal countdown to the connection between the music created by the chart topping superstar and what the fandom are going through as individuals which is usually a catalyst and a vessel for their souls.
On the other hand the album “ The Life Of A Show Girl” put the spotlight on the artist mindset and discipline of delivering back to back discography while on long extraneous tours. Recognizing Taylor’s dedication and commitment to take on a workload of the creative process, capitalizing on the inspiration comes from traveling for long periods of time with her crew disembarking like goodwill ambassadors of music in almost every large city of the globe meeting new people and revisiting cultures. On the other hand the skilfully constructed title unravels the true nature of a millennial show girl of the twenty first century music landscape. Will her work be the outcome of a well thought introspective and “Stop and smell the roses” path which reap what Taylor’s saw as her very best intentions as a creator? Or will it be another catchy title like “The Tortured Poets Department” that left the critics wanting another side of Swiftie’s journey and growth as a bonafide multigenerational icon? The answer will be revealed on October third at midnight. In the meantime the bedazzled cover executed to perfection by the award winning photographers Alas/Piggot longtime collaborators in the music industry and the designers of Swiftie’s Reputation aesthetic has the expected buzz and attention. In addition as a presentation credential the ‘LP” will feature none other than music industry champions Swedish imports Max Martin and Shellback as producers, who work with the billboard darling singer on the twelve songs soon to be released.
