On Feb. 5, seven seniors signed their National Letters of Intent. From left to right in the picture, Monica Correa committed to NIU for soccer, Alexis Horn committed to Augustana for softball, Cooper Kmet committed to Illinois State for football, Henry Marshall committed to MIT for basketball, Mateo Masiclat committed to St. Norbert College for volleyball, Brendan Patton committed to Belmont Abbey for bowling, and Jaylan Szlachetka committed to Upper Iowa for football. All seven seniors gave short speeches and showed gratitude for their parents, coaches and teachers for helping them achieve their athletic and academic goals. These seniors have shown a great commitment to each of their sports and have put themselves in an excellent position to succeed in college because they not only have excelled in their respective sports but have also demonstrated strong academic achievement throughout their high school careers. Their hard work, dedication and perseverance have paved the way for their continued success at the collegiate level, and we wish them all the best of luck in their future.
