Imagine this, you wake up on the morning of December 25th wondering if Santa made a stop at your house this year. You get out of bed and start to walk downstairs. You enter into your living room and, there it is, a brightly lit Christmas tree with lots of presents underneath. You start to open your presents and find that it’s everything you asked for. What’s not to love about Christmas? Nothing! Here’s why Christmas is the best holiday of all time.
First of all, the presents. Name a better feeling than opening up your presents on Christmas morning and seeing that you got everything you wanted. You can’t! And the fact that you are given everything for free makes it all the more better. Even if you are paying for someone else, seeing that person enjoy what you got them has to always bring a smile to your face.
Secondly, the decorations. Nothing gets you into the Christmas spirit better than seeing all of the decorations people have set up around town. Whether it’s an elaborate display of lights and inflatables, or just a plain old Christmas tree, there is always something so mesmerizing about Christmas decor that you don’t see during any other holiday.
Third are the meals. Traditional Christmas food: like ham, turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes seem to taste better and better every year. Not to mention all the tasty desserts like pudding, gingerbread men, pecan pie and colorful cookies. Now, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a nice family dinner where everyone is sitting around the table telling stories, and even if the food isn’t ideal, the memories that come with it will last a lifetime.
Finally, the last reason that Christmas is the best holiday is that we are celebrating the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Christmas mass is one of the best masses to attend, whether it’s the stories or the songs you think is the best, mass on Christmas Day is always one of the most memorable.
For these and many other reasons, this explains why Christmas is the best holiday there is. Considering all of this, remember to always cherish what you have, even the littlest things, and I hope that you all have a very merry Christmas.
