Easy as pie to enjoy slices year-round

We’re currently less than three months from the end of the school year, less than two months until senior graduation. Everyone is anxiously awaiting summer, you get to visit the beach, go on vacation and enjoy days without the monotonous cycle of school. In Evanston and Chicago, Hoosier Mama Pie Company stays open all year round making pies to please the palat With seasonally changing pies, you can try anything from a Chicago Sunrise Pie (tart grapefruit and Chicago’s Malort) to a Funeral Pie (a traditional Amish pie). As the selection shifts, you can try pies that represent historical and significant figures too! They have a Fat Elvis Pie, a Jeffersonville Pie and a Queen Victoria Pie. You can order online in advance or walk in and order a pie or a slice, but it’s first come first serve as pies are baked daily.

Similarly, Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits located in Logan Square and Ravenswood is open year round making pies to warm the soul. It’s up to you whether you want to sit down and eat a sandwich or just run in to pick up a pre-order. They offer pie making classes if you want to have an adventure or catering if you want to host a party. From a classic chicken pot pie to a seasonal bourbon turtle pie, flavors are all over the board!
