Have you ever noticed that some beautiful islands have already submerged; or that the temperature in winter is not the same like it in your childhood? Places that used to be abundant in snowfall have frequently experienced snow free winters. All the phenomenons above are attributed to global warming.

What is global warming? Global warming is an increase in the Earth’s temperature due to fuels, industry, and agricultural processes caused by human, natural and other gas emissions. This human activity results in an increased emission of greenhouse gasses. Moreover the side effecting of global warming are alarming. A warmer global climate melts polar ice caps which leads many animals homeless and raising sea levels. Furthermore, it disturbs weather patterns, causing drought, severe storms and hurricanes. People suffer a lot from disasters relevant to global warming.

Climate change is reshaping human civilization. How we respond will determine the future of our species. To prevent global warming we should make immediate and continual efforts. “Nature can provide up to 30 percent of the mitigation action needed to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius on average (2.7 F). Also some 65 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions is from burning fossil fuels, and deforestation accounts for about 11% of those caused by humans. Plus in Amazonian forests, 1 percent of the tree species sequester 50 percents of the carbon (conservation international climate website).

Climate change is not an issue of the future — we must adapt now, and we can’t do it without nature.  Here’s a suggestion, when it’s time to buy a new car, choose one that offers good gas mileage. Home appliances now come in a range of energy-efficient models, and compact florescent bulbs are designed to provide more natural -looking light while using fearless energy than standard light bulbs.
Your small step can be a big impact!
