Fascism has led to the genocide of people, the destruction of cultures, and the decline of countries. With how destructive fascism is, it is understandable that people would make an organization to go against it. However, the most recent major organization to stand as anti-fascist, is the Anti-Fascist Action group ANTIFA, and has given true anti-fascists a bad name. In Charlottesville, Virginia, ANTIFA engaged in violent acts with white supremacists. White supremacists are evil and must be denounced, but so should the violent antics that ANTIFA uses. Their violence has gone further than fighting racists and fascists; recently ANTIFA attacked peaceful Trump supporters who they see as equals to Neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members. ANTIFA has turned into an extremist terrorist organization that uses intimidation tactics to further their extremist ideology. Both Democrats and Republicans must condemn the fear inciting antics of ANTIFA, and form a true anti-fascist organization that calls out fascists and condemns them rather than literally beating some sense into others. It is also important for people to realize that the actions of ANTIFA do not reflect the views of the Democratic party, just as the actions of Alt-Right members do not reflect the views of the Republican party. ANTIFA must be opposed by a true anti-fascist organization, one which is united by a true understanding of the wrongs of fascism.
